Abstract
The article discusses Emperor Augustus's policy toward Cyrenaica, analyzing the administrative, legal, and military processes that led to the stabilization of this strategic region after the period of civil wars. The main point of reference consists of the edicts of Augustus discovered in Cyrene, which shed light on judicial reform, relations between Greek and Roman inhabitants, and the legal status of local Jewish communities. The author also describes Roman military interventions against nomadic Libyan tribes, as well as the dynamic development of the imperial cult, which manifested itself in the monumental reconstruction of Greek gymnasia into Roman fora.
